HP, Intel, Microsoft, Pearson, Promethean, Cisco õpetavad suletud uste taga 60 riigi haridusministreid

Homsest kuni kolmapäevani osaleb meie haridusminister Jaak Aaviksoo maailma haridusministrite foorumil Inglismaal.

In January, the largest gathering of education and skills ministers in the world will once again take place in the United Kingdom (UK). The Education World Forum (EWF) is the internationally recognised ministerial forum for debating future practice in education.

The event is hosted by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), with support from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for Education (DfE), the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the EWF industry partners. The Forum brings together delegates from more than 60 countries across the globe to share ideas, form collaborative links and discuss education policy.

The 2012 event will examine some of the most rapid of improvements taking place in particular cities, states and regions within countries to enable ministers to benchmark and share the most effective education policies and strategies that are helping them achieve success.

Dominic Savage, director general of BESA, comments: “Education is a crucial factor in national and global economic health; a country’s strongest resource for its future economic stability and success lies with its young people. In the shadow of a global economic crisis and regions experiencing political change there can be no better time to focus our best efforts on education and collaboration. The Education World Forum gives us a platform to share expertise and establish a cooperative, future-proof approach to education.”

The Forum is made possible by the generosity of some major industry partners: HP, Intel, Microsoft, Pearson, Promethean, Cisco, University of Cambridge International Examinations and Encyclopaedia Britannica.

The Forum is part closed sessions for ministers to exchange views but there will be major keynote speakers with details released closer to the event which runs from Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 January.

Updates to the programme of events will be released in the days leading up to the forum. Ministerial speaker names will only be released immediately before the event.

HTM eelinfo lehel on lisatud link ühele teisele üritusele, mille pealkiri on BETT Education Leaders Conference.
